My friend and fellow CR lister owns an Orero track bike.  I'm sure he will be chiming in any day now.  I believe he bought it from an estate sale in NJ.  I've seen the frame and it's gorgeous.  Chromovelato orange with very nice work on it.  He got lucky!  Even came with Contendti pedals.  Paging Andrei, care to comment?

** I spoke with Mike Fraysse today. He said that Orero was originally from Spain, and came to the USA via Argentina. He worked at Paris Sport twice. When he first worked there he had to leave due to eyesight problems related to diabetes. His eyesight returned and he went back to work at Paris Sport but all the work had to be done very close-up.

Mike said that Orero was a very good craftsman that built classic, functional bikes intended for racing.

Orero has passed away.

I asked Mike to seriously consider writing up all of his memories from the Paris Sport days. Hopefully, we'll hear more in the future.
