ebay and vintage aren't the only options for traditional wool cycling gear.
Ibex Clothing make a very nice wool Bib short with a non traditional
synthetic chamois

they also market shorts, knickers, and jerseys, all made of Merino wool.
Their prices are pretty reasonable too considering that Rapha and Assos
bib shorts sell in the multi hundred dollar range.
There is also Kucharik out of California who have been providing cycling
apparel since I'd say the 70's?
