It is very common for the bottom attachment "loop" is broken open on Holdsworth head badges, as it is a very fragile, thin piece of the badge. This is a very common issue and if you use the correct pop rivet to attach the head badge, as Holdsworth did originally, the head of the pop rivet is actually larger than the head badge loop and holds the badge securely against the head tube of the bicycle and you can't see that the loop is broken, so everything looks 100%.  I do have original sized pop rivits for Holds badges, if needed.

Can you explain this Tom? Sounds like to me that this will be a problem. Sounds like the head badge will not be able to be properly riveted back on. Inquiring minds want to know...

If anyone needs one for a real Holdsworth, I have a spare that is in better cosmetic condition than the one that just sold on eBay. The bottom rivet hole  area is "open" at the bottom, which should not prove a problem. I paid what I thought was a pretty incredible price for it at the time,  $100 about two years ago. I'll take $100 for it now and ship it free (lower 48).
