Sorry to inform you that George Longstaff died around 2003. The company still bears his name. Perhaps it's being kept going by his son, I'm not certain though. I've never seen a Longstaff close up, but I know some people rave about them.

I haven't heard that about George though it could be true. There is another fellow who retrofits sealed bearings into the rear axles and aligns them for a generous fee. That would surely improve performance.
