Hi Brian,

You are so right and I would not advise anyone to do their own dent repair, because if they do not truly know what they are doing, the frame will be ruined. Have you ever seen the roughed out body work on vehicles that were done by the amateurs riding down the road next to you in traffic? What a ugly mess. And the saying from long ago still stands true...If you watch, $35 an hour, if you help, $45 an hour and if you worked on it first, $60 an hour. Thanks Brian and I will get back to you on the previous topics. I am going to sleep. Take care and many thanks to you and all!

Best Regards, John Proch La Grange, Texas

Charles,

Frame blocks like that do not remove dents. They simply press down the high spots that most dents create along with the indention. They help a bit and are part of the dent fixing process; but they generally (I've never seen it happen and I've rolled a LOT of dents) do not remove the dent. The blocks will also damage the paint in the rolling process. They are made for people like me who are doing repaints and such, in my opinion.

Tube dents can rolled out with two blocks of steel that have tube dia. cut out length wise clamp on and roll around tube works great but paint is messed up a bit Most good bike stops have one on hand. Charles Nighbor Walnut Creek, CA USA _______________________________________________
