While looking for images of "San Marco Corsa", I ran across two blogs that may be very interesting to CR list members :
1. http://busymanbicycles.blogspot.com/
Along the lines of the Brooks Saddle-artist mentioned on this list a week ago, this Australian artist 'revises' classic saddles and restores classic saddles and toe clip straps, mostly italian models like San Marco Concor and Selle Italia.
Most interesting are his carvings of a "Tiger Woods" (Concor SuperCorsa) and "Michael Jordan 23" (Selle Italia Turbo) saddles.
2. http://www.pedalconsumption.com/
this is a 2009 retro-saddle archive to end-all saddle archives, including MANY limited editional re-issued italian saddles, e.g. KOF Nagasawa-logo'd kashimax, Turbos in every color and every texture, Concors in every color, Kashimaxes with multicolored stars, KORE retrobu (very much like Elina, imho), All the brooks limited edition saddles, Official London City-saddle version of San Marco Concor in 5 suede colors (Black, Green, Blue, Yellow, Red), Cross-hatched and Tiger Striped San Marco LINEAs(OT?), Scottish Tartan and Wallpaper-colored Nicholson (Unicanitor knockoff), Kashimax Aero in Green, Mustard, Pumpkin, black, white, grey, mud colors, Kashimax "Sofa" pleated saddles, etc. What a selection guide !!!
Worth a look, imho.
For bike collectors, this seems to be, "THE YEAR OF THE CUSTOM CARVED SADDLE!"
