Subject: [CR] Pics of 1970 touring Paramount - Now Complete

I posted yesterday pics of the 1970 touring Paramount I just finished rebuilding. However, like many here, I don't really consider a touring bike complete without mudguards at minimum.

I've now added to the Wool Jersey album of this bike additional photos of the bike as now complete with mudguards, racks, and lights. The seatbag is shown as well. Bike will be outfitted with Carradice panniers and Acorn Rando front bag, not shown. The photos with full equipment are at the end of the album.

The red Bluemels Club Special mudguards are one of three pairs of various colors I recently purchased from a CR member. I like red with all-chromed Schwinns and have the same mudguards on my all-chrome 1962 Superior. The TA brake-mounted front rack is a favorite of mine. It is designed for Mafacs, and some modification is needed for use with circa 1970 Weinmanns, but the mods are easy and require only bits easily available at the local hardware store. Anyone who wants details can contact me offlist. Rear rack is IMHO the biggest bargain on the market - a US-made chromed steel Wald, strong, beautiful, high quality and incredibly cheap, as low as $14 brand new. Front light are a Lowes TaskForce C-cell LED Falshlight mounted on the TA rack, and a Cateye HL-EL530 mounted low on the hub QR. Each of these has been discussed here before as among the brightest lights of its type. Rear lights are a battery version of the B&M DToplight mounted to the Wald rack and a Planet Bike Superflash on the light loop of the Velo Orange "Croissant" seatbag. I like to have redundant lights front and rear, either one pair dynamo driven and one battery, or in this case, two battery powered sets.
