Nice bike, with the cool double-drilled Schwinn Campy hubs. I note this has the World Championship bands rather than the full seat panel decal, like my 1973 Paramount, which adds to my confidence that mine has the correct decals. It also appears that this bike, like my 1973, shows slightly longer caps on the seatstays than Paramounts earlier in the 70's. Are the Suntour barends original? If so, Schwinn had switched from the Campy barends that were an option in 1970, 1971 and perhaps 1972. The odd thing about my 1970 P-15 is it came with Campy DT shifters and the 1970 catalog noted that the wide range gearing would not allow use of barend or stem shifters. So the Campy barends were an option on the P-13, but not the P-15 in 1970. That statement in the catalog sounded like BS to me, so I installed the Campy barends anyway, and they work fine, or at least as fine as anything can work with the original Campy Gran Turismo RD. The switch to the Schwinn badged Shimano Crane GS as shown here was a huge improvement. I note here, as well as on my own 1970 P-15 that, as someone noted in a related thread, the factory Campy triple cranks had shorter flutes, so that the holes for the inner ring were not in the flutes. On double cranks modified for an inner ring, the holes will be within the longer flutes on the double arms. So its easy to identify a retrofit, even when the modified crank used the same inner BCD as the factory triple.
