Yep...

French had their own TPI and guage number order. Had to be careful with Robergel's in the mid-80s...I swear some were French with backward numbered guages and different TPI...some were "normal" order guages and 56 TPI. Had about a dozen boxes of both back then.

ISO/Japanese/Euro = 17 15 14 13 12 in 56 TPI French = 10 12 13 15 16 in 63.5 TPI

Phil Wood spoke machine dies are in the ISO 56 TPI. Should I ever come across 63.5 TPI dies in Taiwan I just might be tempted to grab a few...highly doubt it'll ever happen though. Would be cool if I could provide cutting threading services for those wanting to use French spokes and keep 'em that way.
