Subject: [CR] 1968 to 1972 Chrome Carlton Patina?

My newest project is an all chrome Carlton: http://tinyurl.com/yl9mzy4

It is a bit of an odd bird. Serial number has no letters - only numbers - 325763. That appears to apply only to many of the frames between 68 and 72. It has traces of blue paint on both the lugs and the tubes. It is also covered with a drippy clearcoat. The headbadge is the gold (or yellow) version, not the red, white and blue (and sometimes yellow). It is mounted off center and stands out from the headtube almost a mm at the top, yet the rivets look original to my untrained eye. The lugs are the most plain of any of the Carltons and the dropouts are also - not castings. The seat lug has the wrap around stays and it has several cable braise-ons and a single pump hanger. The only one like it I could find is this one dubbed a Patina on Velospace: http://velospace.org/node/4786 Same bike earlier: http://home.comcast.net/~colinmil/carlton.html

I have 10 questions each worth 10 points (I'm putting odds on Hilary, so you guys have seen the gauntlet) 1. Is Patina really a Carlton model, if not, what model is this? 2. If so, when did it start and stop? 3. Were they all completely chrome? 4. Were they painted? 5. How were they outfitted? 6. Approximately how many were made? 7. Explain the geometry, in particular the angle of the head tube. 8. What tubing was used? 9. Was the gold head badge used on anything else? 10. Can you lead me to links with photos of any others on the internet? (I believe Hilary once had one for sale)

Many thanks
