Subject: Re: [CR] possible French brand

Does anyone have any familiarity with a brand called; Rando Cycle? This may be a French brand. I am looking at a frame with with this stamped on the underside of the bottom bracket.

The frame looks like a lugged mountain bike frame. However it has braze-ons for all racks and a braze-on for a generator on the left seat stay. There are also complimentary guides for the generator wiring for lights. It appears to be from at least the eighties because it has cable guides brazed on the top tube and bottle mounts. There are rack mounts front and rear. It has Weinmann knock-off of Mafac cantilever brakes. the crankset is TA triple and the headset "looks" French. this may be a mountain bike or a touring bike for 26" wheels or possibly 650b wheels. I do not know how to tell the difference. The front fork has the only decals that are readable and they are 501 decals fopr the fork blades.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

thank you in advance,
