Subject: [CR] Campy N.R. derailleur disaster: stopped in time by the C.R. Cavalry

Hi all, Once again, I am floored by the wisdom, generosity and knowledge of this group! Many of you pointed out the pivots are aluminum, not steel as I had thought, and therefore unable to survive assault with punch or press. Likewise, pressing them out without leaving marks on the body around the pin where it would need to be supported is nearly impossible. Point well made; point taken. I won't destroy the derailleur. Promise.

I'll probably flog it, along with a "Patent 70" that's in much nicer shape. When I've got some photos I'll post them.

My sincere thanks to you all, individually and collectively.
