Canada didn't have a viable aluminum industry until they damned up all the rivers, which kills all the fish, to get the electricity at ungodly cheap rates, to purify the aluminum. They are now #2 in the world after China in hydropower, most of it is used for aluminum smelting. So, I think aluminum comes last, because it ruins the waterways of the country that produces it.
