George - here is the reply from the owners of the rims.

if there are some spacers on the wheel axle, they could be removed to reduce the over-locknut (OLN) width to suit the old frame. If there is a wide spacer, replace it with several narrow ones, until you have achieved the desired OLN. There is, however, a risk that the smallest sprocket (top gear) will foul the seatstay. Alternatively, you can very carefully spread out the rear triangle by grabbing the rear dropouts and gently pulling them apart and hold them like that for a few seconds. I suggest that you measure the rear width across the dropouts before you start, then gently pull apart and measure again. That'll give you a good indication as to how much (more) force you need to appply to achieve the desired result. It is very much a matter of trial and error, and touch and feel. Patience is probably the most important factor (apart from strength in your arms and shoulders!). I have also achieved success by placing a hydraulic car lifter (trolley jack) between the rear dropouts and gently prise them apart that way. Keep measuring the dropout width, and avoid overdoing it! I would strongly suggest, however, that you practise that first on a cheapo frame where permanent damage does not matter. This procedure is called cold setting (i.e. without using a blow torch to heat up the metal) and is widely used. Good luck and best wishes. Timm F
