This may be a little drastic, but I've had a specialty welder do some amazing things to an other wise dead aluminum frame.  Fixed a cracked seat clamp and a trashed dropout.  I've lost track of the frame, but his work was still going strong several years after the repairs. Might be worth checking into if you want the hub really bad.
