Ken, I agree, it does look steep. I've owned several Columbines and most do not have steep seattube angles, so I suspect that was the custom spec for the buyer. I still own three Columbines and love them. In the 80s and most of the 90s, John Murphy used Tange Prestige as his preferred tubing. This frame has two water bottles, so I would guess it is from that timeframe. But, I have no knowledge of this particular frame. John now resides in California. Lou Deeter, Orlando FL USA

That Columbine looks like it has a fairly steep seat tube. Was that Columbine's way of designing, or is it just a result of the specific rider/riding requirements?
