Ron Cooper is one of the true greats of British frame building having
learnt his craft at Gillotts post-war and building all the later
Gillotts up until about 1970. This frame dating I think from the early
70s really shows just how good a builder he was - the drilled lugs with
one small hole, a larger hole and then a small hole again are really
cool as is the seat binder bolt which is beautifully built into the seat
lug. Ron Cooper frames are really rather uncommon. It does need

DAVE LLOYD CONCEPT 90 ROAD FRAME 1992

Dave Lloyd\u2019s Concept 90 frame introduced as the name suggests in 1990
with sloping top tube predates the Giant TCR frame by some six years but
the reasoning behind the Concept 90 design is quite different. The
Concept 90 sloping top tube design on the other hand was custom built
(and silver brazed without lugs) to fit each rider. The sloping top
tube was used to reduce the size of the main triangle and thus improve
frame stiffness. The seat tube on the Concept 90 was quite normal in
length \u2013 with a long extension above the top tube. It was only the rear
end of the top tube that was dropped to meet the seat tube further down.
And the rear stays were brought in to meet the seat tube at the height
of the top tube. This was done in a clever and very stylish fashion with
a wishbone arrangement for the seatstay top end \u2013 this design had been
used on MTB frames but it was novel on a road frame then and looked
exceptionally neat. The head tube height was quite conventional. Overall
the result was a tremendous looking frame which was at the time quite
original in appearance.
This frame is the one that was featured in Cycling Plus magazine 151
Design Classics and is in excellent condition. 225 GBP

CINELLI CX

This is a very unusual Cinelli road frame from I think the early 80s.
The lugs all have the Cinelli winged symbol as does the rear brake
bridge and fork crown. The frame is in very sound condition but does
need repainting - It will look really stunning... 225 GBP

COLNAGO OVAL CX c1981/2

Colnago Oval CXs are not especially common. This one is very sound \u2013 it
has been repainted, the paint is very good though a little pitting on
the underside of the top tube has not been filled. This would not
normally be noticeable when built-up. Otherwise this frame is

DE ROSA AERODINAMICA c1981/2

This is a De Rosa TT frame built from Columbus Air tubing which has
conventional round ends at the bottom of the down and seat tubes making
it possible to be built with a lugged BB shell. At the head tube the
top and down tubes have been been brazed with the most minimal of
fillets to reinforcements on the head tube. The derailleur cables run
side the down tube and then exit just ion front of the BB shell. This
is a rather rare De Rosa frame... 325 GBP

CHIORDA SALVARINI TEAM FRAME c1969/70

Genuine team frames are really not that common. Team Salvarini from the
1960s and 1970s were sponsored by Chiorda but their riders were able to
choose the builder of their frames - Steven Maasland has a frame built
by De Rosa for a Team member and it is known that Marnati also built
frames for for at least one Salavarini team member. This frame was
definitely not built by either De Rosa or Marnati but is without doubt
an ex Team frame - it exudes quality - the rear faces of the rear
dropouts have been beautifully squared off, the BB shell has been
drilled and the lugs all finished off well. The paint is in very sound
condition and there are no dents or dings. 295 GBP
