There are square double ended thread chasing files available in both inch and metric pitch sizes.

I have 2 different inch size files but I don't think that either one has a 26tpi section for the bastardo 10mm x 26tpi size found on Campy axles.

26 Threads Per Inch = 0.0385" Pitch 1mm Pitch = 0.03937" Pitch

M10x1 metric hex dies are available and you can probably make 4-6 turns on the axle before you get a pitch mismatch.

The Campy cone is much harder than the axle and should work satisfactorily for a one shot fix but a jeweler's file should work too.
