I don't know about the color/year connection. Schwinn started giving the Oympic Team bikes starting in '48 I believe. The Olympic tandems from the '50's had custom made Paramount wide tandem hubs and forks w. oversize headsets if I recall correctly. Was '60 or '64 the first Campag equipped Paramount tandem?
