Hi Bills nos were often what you wanted, this one I would decipher very simply as 1st frame oct 77. Bill used to ask you what you wanted when He was building for Condors, as many frame builders did. I worked with Bill in the 50s at Condors and that is how he numbered frames. Mine was d.o.b, others had what they wanted, Stan Pike would put your name, or a DOB it wasnt a question of sequential numbering, but opersoanal identification if stolen. I have a Hurlow of early 70's vintage. Does anyone know how to decipher his serial numbers?
