Yes, as far as I know there was no connection between the Swiss and English Condor marques. And IIRC, there was also a Mexican or perhaps a South American Condor. I've always found Swiss bikes interesting as they seem to blend the best influences of the two great neighboring cycling nations, France and Italy. And the Swiss were known for those beautiful multicolor fade paint jobs.

\r?\n> Hello,

\r?\n> Yes Condor is a swiss made bike. I actually visited the

\r?\n> condor factory in 1976 when I went to the allegro

\r?\n> Factory. The town was in the french canton in a town I

\r?\n> believe called Courfaivre.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Tucked away in a beautiful Valley. I arrived on a Saturday

\r?\n> and Sunday all the bells in the towns in the Valley started

\r?\n> clanging early in the morning. I peeked out of a tiny window

\r?\n> of the attic room in an old hotel and saw the most beautiful

\r?\n> valley at dawn. It was a powerful memory that I remember

\r?\n> still now. That is what bicycling can do for us, take us to

\r?\n> majical places and create very strong memories.

\r?\n> It is a place I will cycle again to.

\r?\n>

\r?\n> Condors are well made bikes in the classic swiss tradition

\r?\n> of the time. Lovely bikes in the 1940-60's.
