Or maybe it's because bike manufacturers and shops only have to stock one variety of rim drilling with 36s, and the shops don't end up with loads of odd rears when the fronts wear out first.

And you're right, Barrie, we do drive on the correct side of the road. At least those of us who travel on the left don't have to reach across our horses to shoot strangers approaching us; I don't know how all the other countries manage to pull their pistols and shoot each other without blowing off their horses' heads.
