VeloBase.com  http://velobase.com/ViewSingleComponent.aspx?IDrc70fc7-3747-41ac-bfee-0f6b61bff558 has a good write-up on the different versions and time frame for the second generation SR rears.   I've provided a link to version 1.  Enjoy.

I found several Super Record derailleurs in my stash that I didn't know that I had.  At first glance I thought that they were identical but not true.  One of them has "Super Record" stamped on the backside of the parallelogram, the rivet heads are round on both sides and the spring inside the parallelogram is at the top near the pivot.  With the other there isn't any marking on the backside of the parallelogram, the rivet heads are concave and the spring inside the paralllelogram is at the bottom near the pivot for the jockey cage.  Both have the black anodized parts with the logo in black on the face.  Which is older?  What are their approximate dates?  I also have SR front derailleurs to go with them but that ID has been more straight forward.  Thank you in advance.
