Tufo make a cyclocross tire with a diamond tread in 28mm ans in 30 mm, designated D28 and D30. The tread is not very aggressive for a cross tire, and I've used them quite happily on road bikes.

I was recently looking for the same thing -- my ALAN came with a set of 18mm Wolber time trial tubulars, especially ridiculous on its super-wide 22mm Mavic rims!
The best I could find was the Challenge "Parigi-Roubaix", labeled

I did some research, they apparently have an even better feel than the clincher version that Jan Heine raves about, but are less durable.

That's what I ended up buying -- 3 for $50 was too good to pass up, and they're pretty good tires. Way better than the crappy 'training' tubulars I've ridden that cost as much or more.
The only better ones I've ridden were old Soviet 30mm silk cyclocross tubulars. I like my Gran Bois 584x42 Hetre clinchers a lot too, but they're a different animal.
At some point I'll probably buy a pair of the Challenge tubulars, though I could see thinking that if I'm already paying 4x what I normally pay for tires, I might as well go up to 8x and make them silk :)
