I have to check my rims, but I am using Kevlar Paselas on my Expedition bike which uses a 27 inch front wheel and a 700c rear wheel. I am running around 100 psi in the tires. So far so good. I've ridden the bike on and off road too. The bike was described in an issue of Bicycle Quarterly not long ago.
