I don't have but about 10 bikes. For about 15 years I kept 4 frames and forks (531) in the air box for my central heating and cooling, ( air filters, return air, and electric motors. ) I never kept rubber goods there. Everything else stays in my play room, a bedroom converted into my shop and computer room. I checked every frame and no sign at all of rust. I do know that sometimes the frames would have cold sweat on the tubes. I don't see any difference in that and going out everyday to ride in hot,cold,rain, or wind. Steel is tuff, especeilly if you shoot "ole JP" in all the tubes!
