This one's for all of you Raleigh fans. A while back someone sold me a basket case Raleigh for cheap and I decided to make it a project. I handed it to the chrome plater as is, and told him what I needed (not something I would do under normal circumstances). I didn't really have much to lose at that point, and I wanted to see what he would do on his own. A scary prospect. The bike came back looking pretty spanky except for the detail on the fork crown that now gently blends into the top of the crown. They tried to buff out some rust pits. Oh well. The other thing that is annoying on this bike are the lug shorelines (or lack thereof). It makes the lug lining extremely difficult and I think they came out looking awful, even though the originals didn't look much better. All in all a pretty sweet rider, but just not first on prom night. Hope you enjoy. http://www.flickr.com/photos/27880623@N05/
