Victor, Alf Engers was the man!!

First man to get inside 50 minutes for 25 miles in 1978 with 49.24 [pre tri-bars]......six time national 25mile champion...1969..72/73/74/75/76

He was nicknamed 'King Alf' and was quite a charactor, a baker by trade...so used to getting up early!

cheers
Kevin...never as fast as Alf....Sayles
