Hi guys, I have been in trouble climbing since my return to the saddle 3 years ago and no doc has put his finger in the problem, Then, 10 years after a ticker attack, back came teh angina. Off I toddle to the great Stewart , my cardy boy who, after 15  mins, a cardiogam and £250 later says, Im getting old, and the top 2 chambers of the old ticker arent working. I always new I was riding half heartedly. But un daunted I went on a 40 mile thrash today to Kevin Sales country. I felt good ,rode hard, and just before the last hill on the way back, a bike ,mounted with rider, came out of a side turn and fell in along side, By this time, 36 miles, I was a little jaded, nay, shagged. and the last hill was coming up. He chatted aimlessly and cheerfully on his high pressured, 8 geared hybrid which must have been twice the weight of my carbon featherweight. I dreaded the climb, he was fresh, iwas sufferring. "Im turning off at the bottom of the hill" he cheered as he pulled effortlessy away, As he dropped me before turning off, I saw the name of his heavyweight heap on the downtube. I am now in shock and cant bring myself to say it. Help please help. Cant we have a wipe out the d,,,,ugh! Im ill. I need a doctor, Ive been seen off by one, Now Ill never reach valhalla. Barrie Carter. tearfull, shaking and in shock, Roundham, UK

In the mid 70s Falcon pro bike were built by Terry Dolan, 2 frames per rider,. I have just sold Sid Barras s bike, and checked with Terry. They were only 531 comp tubing and with no numbers. I cant say , but I would have serious doubts as to the authenticity of this one, the tubing on a British Team frame would always be 531 I doubt us Brits would ever accept any other. Stan Pike was the first to use a foreign tube for Pro frames as far as I know, but, who knows. This isnt, as far as I can tell, a comp pro frame. maybe its a FKW, or even....a D.... Cant say it. Reynolds always did a 1.0-0.7 mm seattube, a popular choice for builders looking for a bit more stiffness
