George,

That is the correct fork for that frame as far as I can tell. It is a Cinelli track fork and looks to be the proper length.

Yeah, the fixie craze has caused a spike in track component prices. Also, there are far fewer of them than road components. That's why I never sell any of my track parts. I LOVE track bikes (I have over a dozen) and a trankset in hand is worth 10 on eBay.

Brian,

Is the fork correct for the bike? Also, it is true there are less components on track bikes but the cost of vintage track components can be astronomical at times. Blame it on the fixie craze.

I'm reasonably sure there have been a pretty large number of things one could have purchased for a $1000 or more on eBay that would be relatively poor purchases in comparison to this frame. Cinelli track bikes from the 70's are somewhat rare in the overall scheme of things. I think the drilled BB shell indicates the lighter version frame as opposed to the sprint version. Looks like a nice project for someone; and restoring a track bike is less expensive than doing a road bike. Cost of frame restoration is the same, but a lot less spent on components to complete the project. I see that as somewhat of a bonus.
