Subject: [CR] Flag this message help identifying bike? Nervex Nuovo R. Cinelli, Rigida brazed cable-guides? Tuesday, May 4, 2010 11:28 PM

Recently purchased this bike and was wondering if there is anyone that might be able to identify the maker. Photos here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/1510041...7623871276943/ It has a repaint and no markings other than "Nervex" on the bb lugshell, also an indecipherable serial number (about 13 or 14 tiny stamped digits)something like"56650629022848" (only the first "5" is clear because of the repaint). Nervex lugs and the components are Nuovo Record I think, brakes & fr. der. are missing. Cinelli bars and stem. Steel seatpost (26.0 ?- not marked-26.8 is too big) and a Cinelli UNICANTOR saddle. EDCO Competition headset. About 64cm-C-C. Brazed on cable guides top tube and at bottom of seat tube. The Rigida 13-19 wheels have a Garner's Bike, redwood City, CA shop decal- so maybe originally sold there (or just the wheels?)

Some guesses? A lot of the bikes I found that had these lugs did not have brazed top tube cable guides (Motobecane (some do?), Peugeot, Bottecchia, Cinelli, Paramount?) That huge serial number means a large production company I suppose?

Thanks!
