Back in the day, only newbies and nerds had dust caps on their cotterless cranks. They weren't cool!

In the desert Southwest we never worried much about rain!

I use them now in the Bay Area to keep dust out as they were intended. These days I try not to ride in the rain!

Also I've noticed that most of the CR riders use them...
