Subject: [CR] Chater Lea - pitch of thread!

Paul: I have NOT pulled out my Chater Lea hardware and personally measured it against a pitch gauge. I can direct you to this quote, and its source:

"The bolts on all Chater-Lea cranks have a thread size 17/64" x 25TPI Whitworth" http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/components/chater-adaptors.html

Apologies for the rather peculiar subject line. I am in need of three chain=ing bolts for an early two-arm Chater Lea chainset. If anyone has these be=sts could you please let me know?

Failing that, my next-door neighbour is a tool-maker/ machinist for the N=tional Research Council here in Ottawa (making minutely exacting parts for=testing jet engines and the like) who has offered to make a set for me in =tainless steel. He did ask me, however, about the pitch of the thread =nd whether these were Whitworth thread? Am I right in assuming they are? P=ease excuse my ignorance, but I know B-all about such things. I told him=I would make enquiries. Therefore, does anyone know the thread-count and=pitch of these fixing bolts?
