Hi all,

I apologize for not following Rule #1 -- my name is Brandon Gillin. Per Rule #14, I am 29 years old and I am originally from Wenatchee, Washington (USA), but I just completed my second year of law school in South Royalton, Vermont (USA). This summer I am back in Washington State working as an intern in a law firm in Bellingham, Washington (USA). There's quite a bit of interest in vintage road bikes in Bellingham, so I'm happy to be back here (I went to undergrad here from 2000-2004). Bellingham is also home to Boundary Bay Brewery, which is great for micro brew fanatics like me!

I really appreciate the insight I have received so far regarding my Fuchs (circa 1959) road bike. I will continue my research to find out as much as I can on it -- that is, when I am not trying to tweak my front derailleur so the chain doesn't rub up against it, or trying to retrofit some modern brakes and fenders on it. As you all must know, these old bikes are very hard to retrofit, but that's party of their mystery and allure. :)

I have uploaded some photos of my Fuchs bike on my Flickr site (http://www.flickr.com/photos/brandongillin).

Hope everyone is having a great start-of-the-summer! I know I am!

Kind regards,

Brandon Gillin
