Yes; Or, easier yet, add spacers to the drive side behind fixed cup until it just barely makes it... OR use a Phil Wood unit or similar, and dial it in by moving the bbkt spindle outward to right until it just clears...

I have set up several vintage bikes over time with wide range double cranksets. Try a BB spindle the next size longer/wider on the crankarm side.
