The alloy has got to be the softest ever used on a crank. I remember that the crank extractor threads strip out very easily. The rear derailleur is very likely the worst one ever made also.

Regarding Kevin Kruger,

if you say something bad about something he's selling right now (i.e. his Schwinn Sports Tourer), he flips out. I remember he was selling a Gazelle of Holland pantograph bike that he put together himself. I had found the guy who made the pantograph chainrings (kevin's cost something like $150 for the outer ring, NOS, on ebay.) I asked who was interested in having some more of these chainrings made ?? Or if not, who was intereted in selling NOS gazelle parts like on Kevin's bike ?? Kevin took down the photos of the pantograph parts including chainrings on wool jersey, ostensibly to thwart my efforts ... Sheesh !!

I was actually hoping to get some of those chainrings made, for my own gazelle frameset that arrived a few months ago. He thought I was trying to lowball or depress his auction price!!

P.S. what's wrong with the nervar star 51 bcd cranks, other than the fact that they aren't anodized and the nubbled part turns grey forever very soon after you buy the bike ?? I have two 128 bcd nervar star cranks of similar manufacture.
