As Francofile a company as Peugeot was and with as much juice as they had with their vendors, I don't think that they would have used English Reynolds decals unless they absolutely had to.

Remember, their bikes were "all French" until the bitter end (MAFAC, Simplex, Stronglight and so on).

I've never seen a Peugeot or a Gitane for that matter with an "original" Reynolds decal in English.

The 1977-87 PY-10 and the early 80s PZ pictured on the CR website have French Reynolds decals.

My KOF? 1988 Peugeot Chorus has French Reynolds 753r decals. I have pictures of a 1988 Peugeot Aravis with French Reynolds 531p decals too.

The fragile seat tube mounted Reynolds waterslide decals often fell victim to careless bike shop mechanics who used bikes stands that clamped the seat tube.

It's likely that someone replaced a damaged French decal with a later style starred Reynolds decal obtained through a Schwinn or Raleigh dealer or it's a repop decal.
