[CR] Bardon oversized tandem headsets was 1 1/8" threaded

yes I took a closer look at French tandem's head parts fork steerer is 28mm i forget the pitch... headtube inner diameter is around 33.5mm

who else was manufacturing oversized threaded tandem headsets in the day ? were the Bardon headsets as spec'd by the Taylors still a metric thread ? is it true they use metric (5mm) bearings ?

at first i thought my headset was a bit of a bastard, having been packed with 5/32" bearings up top and 3/16" at the crown but all parts appear to match the photo of NOS offering on ebay maybe the balls were both the wrong size....

anyone want to go in on a bag of 100 from mcmaster-carr ?
