Hello Firstly if you look for a hotel soon you will be fine. I myself attended last year and found a very nice hotel some 20ishkm from the start. But obviously you will need a car to get too and from the town. I did found one gentleman who was very helpful in that he had a few places of stay of varying price from twin rooms to 6 people apartments and he is very bike friendly also they open the kitchen very early on the day! The longer you leave it the price will go up and rooms will be far away! Unchecked last night and there are still options Now I have just found a shuttle taxi service to take you and your bike direct from Pisa airport to gialoe in chianti (wrong spelling) for 220 euro return. Which if there are 4 of you it isn't too bad. I will happy to forward the links to people or I will post them here in the next day or so.

I have to believe that nearly every hotel within 100km of there is sold out already? For us neophytes, what do we need to know and do? Hotels, airport, getting to and from, what not to miss, etc? Can the veterans provide a bullet point list, please? Also, if there is a CR Group already organized, or organizing, I'd love to join up.
