As it so happens, I have a set of NOS Nisi Sludi Mod. 290 rims slated for use on my 1977 Exxon Graftek G-1 "weight weenie" project, and those particular rims were most definitely being sold Stateside at that time as they appear on page 30 of the 1976 Lickton's catalog. You can also find reference to them in the 1977 Nisi catalog posted to Velo-Pages (...see link below). For whatever it may be worth to note, the rather complete listing of Nisi product offerings provided in the 1972 Evian catalog makes absolutely no mention whatsoever of those Sludi rims, whether that be the heavier 320 gram version or the lighter 290 gram you queried about, nor is there any mention of same in the 1975 Nisi catalog (...hence my belief that they were only made available mid decade).
