Maybe some kind of description of bike types by method of production/mentality of production would be in order, i.e.: "Industrial;" Bridgestone, Peugeot, Colnago, "Artist/artisan;" Sachs, Erickson, Baylis, Columbine, "Functional Craft;" Davidson, Marinoni. I won't claim to have exact definitions or accurate descriptions of these different bike makers, but am just trying to put a general idea out there.
