Well, I'm not sure I can meet the entrance requirements. One must complete, in the year of the PBP, separate sanctioned brevets of 200km, 300km, 400km, and 600km, all within the time limits. It also appears that the rule means that the rides must be in the CALENDAR YEAR of PBP, not just the prior 12 months. Since PBP takes place in late August, this means one has to do all this in less than 8 months, probably more like 6 months to leave time to get the results registered, and have one's PBP application processed. That's pretty difficult for a person working full time, especially here in PA, where the weather isn't favorable until April. I guess I can take the first step by riding a 200km brevet next year. You have 14 hours, I believe, so I can probably handle that as I did last month's NEOC 100 miles in slightly over 10 hours, including changing a flat (even though my knee hurt the last 20 miles). Not so sure about a 200, 300, 400 and 600 all in the first half of 2003 though. It's a pretty significant achievement just to qualify for PBP, let alone to complete it.
