To my fellow listies,
I'd like to put a question out to the vintage universe. I am about to buy a frame from a certain Swiss manufactuer I covet made from Columbus Chromor tubing. Embarrassingly, I know very little of Columbus - outside of the fact that it's a city in Ohio. The only thing I remember hearing about Chromor is it was heavier than SL and the euro's dug it because it tended to last through a racing season on their rough roads without failure and because of that was the tubing of choice for "the Hell of the North".
The frame is relatively new - 1990. It's safely tucked away in Europe waiting for me to tender an offer. I am not posing this question to determine whether or not I'm going to aquire the frame, but to understand what it is i'm purchasing.
Any info would be greatly appreicated.
