I think that CR members are forgetting that these are photographs simply shot for effect m for the ad or mag article. When we did an article at Cycling Plus on how the Raleigh Super Randonneur frame and bike were built at Raleigh Special Products a bottom bracket was nearly melted whilst some pictures were taken. The frame was of course thrown away. Hilary Stone
