Jerry, I have used a pair of gortex ski mittens down to below 20 degrees F.! The only problem is that they (hands), get too hot & sweat too much! For many useful winter clothing tips visit http://www.freewheel.com, and follow the links to the Maumee Valley Wheelman's page. There is another link there to icebike, with lots of helpfull information. Hope that helps Richard Rose (Toledo, Ohio) BTW, David Barnes, our webmaster, is 70+ years old and the only thing that will stop him from riding every day throughout the winter months is either ice or snow - I don't care how cold it is. He is one of my cycling heroes. He has been riding the same bike for as long as I can remember - about 20 years. A late seventies Batavus - with updated components however. (There, classic lightweight content dutifully included).
