Hey folks, I just got a really good deal on Lotus Supreme and I had a couple of questions about it. The frame is fully chromed with a beautiful light lavender pearl paint job, long point lugs with diamond cut-outs, full braze-ons, and Campy BOs. The tubing is older Columbus acciaio specialle, SL right? Anyway, the reason I got a good deal was around the edges of the seatlug and BB shell there's rust I don't know if it's from living its life next to the Pacific or from poor chroming. I was thinking of getting a repaint but the original color is so nice, does anyone know of a way to stop the rust and touch-up the paint? I was thinking of smearing on some naval jelly and letting it sit for a week or so then touch it up with fingernail polish. I want to get it built up first before a repaint since it's 1" larger than my usual bike size and I want to make sure it fits before putting a bunch of money into it. Anyway, any information on this bike would be nice.
