Russ, As I remember yours is threaded in and rusted in place.

Seriously (now I can get dangerous) now, I have one unrusted in a box somewhere in the catacombs (I do mean catacombs) that I remember as threading away from the lower pivot somehow. If it functions and is corroded I would be reluctant to tamper with it.

I might be able to produce a diagram to fax to you or mail if it presents a problem. Using it might break it loose from it's bond gently.

Despite being on a bike that has been neglected pretty badly, it shined up

VERY nicely.

I also have a question - is there a trick to removing the upper, toothed

pulley from the inner cage plate? Is it threaded in, or is mine just sort

of rusted into place?

Thanks,
