Subject: [Classicrendezvous] Sedis Chain...

Lads & Lassies - I've just removed and cleaned the chain from an early 1970s racing bike, said to be Falck-tubed, and sold by a shop in Philly.

Under the grime, the chain turned out to have the customary "blued" inner plates, but bright (silver) finished outer links. It is otherwise ordinary, with most of the outers stamped "SEDIS" in a triangle, but a few stamped "FRANCE". The wear is in the OK range on my Park guage. The questions are:

1) Anyone recall such a bright/dull Sedis beast? 2) Did it have a model name of note? 3) Any idea of vintage? 4) Is it something special that should go into (my) collection, or just get ridden to death?

Thanks!
