I've got a tame A+ competition wheelbuilder (well known at least in the NE of Scotland) who can build just about anything you like in two-day turnrounds ! for £ 10-15 labour. He loves the old & classic "quality" stuff - he' currently doing a beautiful pair of Maxy-Car's & M3's to do.

Good question, you'll be colder, more isolated, sometimes wetter - but I'll bet in six-months you'll be asking yourself why didn't you move before now - I did and I only moved 125 miles from Edinburgh. (plus you might actually get to ride the bikes you have without fear of becoming another statistic) and you'll become a regular customer of Charlie at Alves. I'd also bet you'll find more classic stuff still available and without having to pay the usual London premium for everything !
