ClassicRendesvous:

Ebay item 1101812874 is listed as a pristine Pat.77 SR derailleur with original box - but it has what looks like the 2nd generation "new for '78" SR pulley cage. Did they supply 'em that way?

SIDE NOTE: in one of the photo albums posted here last week I was amused to see some of my own EBAY purchases on display. Looks like I'm not the only one who's mining EBAY for images. I certainly can't afford to buy all the cool bike stuff that I want, but the next best thing is bagging a really decent photo of something! I've got about 3 notebooks at home full of pictures of 'for sale' items that I couldn't afford. And part of the nostalgic buzz one nominally derives from collecting is achieved by merely seeing an item.

To me this is a huge side benefit of EBAY - the opportunity to see (and catalog!) hundreds of items that no single bike shop or collector or swap meet or collection could ever encompass. Knowledge it would take years to acquire through direct experience. WHAT A GOLDMINE OF INFORMATION!
